| Jon
was born in upstate New York and moved to Texas at the age of five.
After a few location changes he finally settled in Waco. One day, as a
freshman in high school, he stumbled upon a live audio mixing console.
From the moment he saw those buttons, knobs, and faders, Jon knew he
had to learn how to operate that sound board.
Through
a year or two of trial and error, blown fuses, and shorted circuits, he
learned about the physical properties of sound and how to harness,
control, and manipulate them. A few years at Baylor University and many
audio engineering books later, Jon was given the opportunity to travel
through much of North America as well as a short stint through Europe
as head engineer for a local artist. Currently, Jon works as Media
Director for Universtiy Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.
He loves film, music, and anything that can be done with his hands.
His top five favorite films include: HIGH FIDELITY, SNATCH, AROUND THE BEND, THE GODFATHER TRILOGY, and LIFE AS A HOUSE.
